Ashley Dent, RMT, D.O.M.P
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Ashley began her Osteopathic journey at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto in 2009, after graduating with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Her rigorous 5 year training at the CCO was marked by a two year thesis study, which was defended infront of an international jury in 2015 to receive the title of Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a diploma in the science of Osteopathy. She is a member of good standing with the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners as well as the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Ashley's treatments focus on finding the source of her patients symptoms; therefore the whole body is involved in each treatment. The philosophy of each treatment is to remove the restrictions and constrictions within the body, allowing the body time to heal itself. Techniques for the treatment include strain-counterstrain, muscle energy, osteoarticular adjustments, the Still technique, craniosacral therapy and more. In order to continue to provide the best service for her patients, Ashley has taken on courses such as Embryology, Complex Physiology, and Assessment and Treatment of Chronic Pain.
Beyond taking courses, Ashley loves to dance, play volleyball, hike with her dog Starbuck and enjoy all things that promote overall healthy living.
