FAQ's

Q: How long will my appointment take?

A: Depending on your individual care needs, appointments take varying lengths of time. In general terms, you can expect your Initial Visit to last for approximately 45 -60 minutes, including time to complete your paperwork and set up your file at the front desk. When you return for treatment visits, you can usually expect 5 - 15 minutes per chiropractic visit, with an additional 5-10 minutes for adjunct services like Traction or TENS therapy if needed. Your doctor will be able to advise you on the specifics of your individual care plan.

Q: Why do I need to keep coming back?

A: When you first begin Chiropractic Care, your chiropractor is fixing mis-alignments and subluxations in your spine which may have been present for some time. Your body has adapted to these issues, and multiple visits are often necessary to retrain your body to hold the vertebrae in their proper position. Once you have completed corrective care, a maintenance schedule is recommended to keep your body in optimal alignment. Much like a car requires tune-ups and oil changes, your body requires regular "adjustments" to correct the stresses that day to day living cause on the spine, to keep you running in tip-top shape.

Q: Are your services covered by Health Insurance?

A: Most plans do cover Chiropractic Care, however every health insurance plan is different, so it is important to contact your plan provider to confirm the details of your coverage. Some plans cover 100% of each visit, while others cover a percentage of each visit, and plans differ on what the yearly maximum is, so knowing those details will help you manage your care effectively.

Q: Do I have to pay up front, or will you submit a claim for me?

A: Our office is not set up for automatic billing to health insurers. We collect payment for services rendered at each visit, and provide you with a receipt to submit to your health insurance for reimbursement at whatever level your plan covers.
