I have been licensed and working as a Registered Massage Therapist at Norfolk Chiropractic and Wellness since 2015, and my education was at CCMH in Cambridge. I offer two styles of massage: regular oiled theraputic massage (Swedish) or Thai Massage.

Unlike Swedish massage, Thai massage is performed on a mat rather than a table, with the practitioner on the mat with the client for the duration of the treatment, and typically no oil is used. One important difference therefore is that the client needs to have loose fitting clothing on during the treatment as they are not covered by a sheet. Thai massage uses acupressure, range of motion, and stretching. While this may sound like an exercise session and not as relaxing as massage, it can be every bit as relaxing and enjoyable. I often use an infrared full-body heating pad during treatment, which is lovely at no extra cost.  Thai massage performed by an RMT is covered by your insurance coverage the same way as a normal massage is.
