Wow, 25 years @ Norfolk Chiropractic Wellness Centre! 

When Dr. Rodney Brown and I opened the clinic on October 3rd, 2000, it was with the vision of creating a family-based multi-disciplinary Health and Wellness Centre. The clinic was small, 1000+ sq ft, with 5 treatment rooms, offering only Chiropractic and Massage Therapy services, but we had the intention of growing into a larger and more diverse Wellness model, with a variety of Natural Health care providers.

The clinic expanded almost immediately in 2001 with the addition of Dr. Mike Weber to the team and continued to grow in the years to follow with the addition of several Registered Massage Therapists and Chiropractors. It was during this time that we also began to offer Acupuncture and Naturopathic services.

In 2009, the clinic expanded its physical footprint at 86 Norfolk St., taking on additional space on the main floor to accommodate the growth of the Chiropractic branch of the clinic, while adding Massage Therapy space on the lower level of the building.

In 2012, the clinic purchased the building at 86 Norfolk St. We again expanded our space to include 1500 sq ft of clinical space on the upper level of the building which allowed us to bring on additional Natural Health care services, including Osteopathy.

Since 2012, the clinic has continued to grow and currently occupies more than 4200 sq ft of clinical space between the main and upper floors of the building and is home to 14 (soon to be 15) Natural Health care providers offering Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, Naturopathic care, Acupuncture, Laser and Shockwave Therapy as well as Custom Orthotics and Orthopedic Braces.

I think our proudest moment and our biggest challenges so far come from the two sides of the same event. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020 brought with it government-mandated clinic shut-downs and safety-related policies, but it also brought out the best in our practitioners and staff as we worked together to keep the clinic running and provide much-needed care to our patients throughout the turmoil.

So where do we go from here after 25 years? Our vision for the future includes continued growth while we continue to serve Guelph and the surrounding area with the quality health services our patients have come to rely on.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without all of the amazing practitioners, staff and most importantly our loyal patients, who have stuck with us throughout the years – we wouldn’t be here now without your trust in our vision and mission. So, thank you!! From the bottom of our hearts, we truly appreciate each and every one of the folks who have come through our doors for 25 years - and counting!
